Our project mission for the Web Math Projects Organization is to reinforce the fundamentals of mathematics through the use of interactive web technologies.
Mathematics provides the foundation for all other scientific pursuits. It is an fundamental academic subject whose ideas are sometimes difficult to grasp. We represent a group of programmers, mathematicians and other enthusiasts who are collaborating to teach math concepts through web based math projects.
To help facilitate the dissemination of math ideas we provide direct access to interactive mathematical resources on this web site. These include digital content about mathematics, math software applications, solutions to math problems, discussions of math issues and programming tools for mathematicians. One of our first projects was the Inactive Talking Math Book demonstrated here.
We encourage feedback from everyone coming to the Web Math Project Organization from academic administrators and educators to math students and math enthusiasts. Comments will be posted to our upcoming blog or social media venue on subjects like mathematical education.
We have drafted an initiative called Teach Math thru Sports that uses innovative sports graphs to demonstrate mathematical concepts in a entertaining manner. These newly designed graphs are being shared with national sporting organizations and corporations, including the social media website Puget Sound Life.net who are working in conjunction with the Web Math Projects.org on this initiative.
